This session for faculty members currently on a definite-term contract is presented by the Academic Freedom & Tenure Committee, which helps members navigate all kinds of workplace issues. It will help you to:

  • interpret your current contract and what you're entitled to as a definite term faculty member,
  • prepare to negotiate your next contract, and
  • understand the pathway to continuing status.

There is still space in this workshop, but we cannot order additional lunches.

On January 31, the Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE) is hosting its winter term New Faculty Teaching Day on Friday, January 31. This day is intended for those new faculty members who arrived after (or missed) the August Teaching Orientation Days and features three of the four core CTE workshops for new faculty.

Dan Brown, FAUW’s rep on the Provost’s Advisory Committee on Timetabling (also FAUW treasurer and president-elect) will explain what currently happens in the class scheduling process, where and why things get tricky, and what you need to know to help things go smoothly for you and everyone else.
