Information session: Definite-term contracts

Tuesday, November 9, 2021 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

FAUW runs a series of workshops each year to help faculty through key aspects of their academic career.  This session for faculty members currently on a definite-term contract will help you to:

  • interpret your current contract and what you're entitled to as a definite term faculty member,
  • prepare to negotiate your next contract, and
  • understand continuing appointments.

These sessions are designed to provide critical information on how to succeed and to ensure you know where and how to get your questions answered. The aim is also to provide clarity on the expectations of your peers and of university policy.

This workshop will be delivered online in Teams. You can register now you'll get a confirmation email with an .ics file you can add to your calendar.* Please note that the confirmation email might say the event is at 2:00 p.m., but the calendar event will have the correct time (1:00 p.m. EST) once you add it to your calendar.
