Join Women in Computer Science and FemPhys as they collaborate to bring you this event. Learn about different ways you can de-stress, barriers to being stress-free, and strategies for self-care.

Every term, FemPhys invites a stellar individual to share their thoughts, lecture-style. This term, Dr. Amanda Peet from the University of Toronto, a string theorist interested in black holes and quantum gravity, will share their musings on diversity and inclusion in their field. We'll listen, have some lunch, and ask Dr. Peet a few questions.

Join FemPhys for a discussion on the ever present barriers to full-inclusion that exist for physicists who are members of the LGBTQ+ community. This discussed was inspired by the recent report by published by APS on LGBT climate in physics. 

As with all our discussions, please feel free to share as much or as little as you like.

There's a lot out there to learn about feminism & so many places to start. Here's one of those places: a guided discussion covering basic facts, common questions, and some definitions relevant to feminism here and now. We intend this discussion to be a space for people who are not or are somewhat familiar with the language and motivations of feminism. We encourage you to bring an open mind and lots of questions. Everyone is welcome!

This Fall is gonna be a stellar term! We're gonna talk about how at the general meeting, including what events people want, schedule, discussion topics, and more. Think you wanna get involved? Sign up to be involved as an exec or a low-time commitment volunteer. We'll vote on the exec at this meeting. All new execs and volunteers will have informal training so our new peeps feel comfortable and welcome in their brand new roles!
