Student Extended Health & Dental Insurance Plans

Supplementary health & dental insurance plans

Find details of your coverage under the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA) health & dental plan or Graduate Students Association (GSA) health & dental plan.

  • supplementary health coverage requires you to already be enrolled in either a Canadian provincial health plan or UHIP
  • Canadian or Permanent Resident students who are not covered by a Canadian provincial health plan must contact The Centre to enrol in UHIP coverage for the three month waiting period for their provincial health insurance to become effective.

The University collects specific and limited personal information on behalf of the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association and the Graduate Student Association. This information is used for membership administration, elections, annual general meetings, and the administration of student benefit plans and is disclosed to the two organizations and external plan providers solely for those purposes. Students should contact the office of either group if they have any questions about this matter.

Paying your Tuition?

If you have an account at a bank in Canada, the best way to pay your student fees is by bank payment.  If that isn’t possible, we can also accept a certified cheque, money order, or bank draft from a Canadian bank.

To make an international tuition payment, use one of our approved international payment options. These services are convenient, cheaper than a traditional wire transfer, and post quickly to your student account.  You can also pay in the currency of your choice and get a competitive exchange rate.

Don’t forget to check the date tuition is due to avoid late fees and account holds.
