  ongoing research about\nthe detrimental impact of warfare on the environm
 ent. Focusing on wars\nthat rage in the Arab world\, and specifically Iraq
 \, he raises\nquestions about what the region has to say about the environ
 ment\ntoday—and how contemporary artists have addressed these grave\niss
 ues. He brings together works by several international artists in\ndialogu
 e with each other\, in order to capture the far-reaching\nconsequences and
  multifaceted nature of conflict\, as well as its often\nimperceptible but
