The Longhouse Labs logo
The Longhouse Labs is a program about empowering and creating dedicated space for Indigenous-led experiences and learning. It aims to create sustainable pathways for Indigenous artists that enable Indigenous knowledge and cultural practices to broadly permeate studio art learning.

Fine Arts will be hosting our second inaugural guest artist residency / Longhouse Labs Fellow, Tract Collective. Throughout the week Tract Collective will be on campus, working out of the second floor labs in East Campus Hall (ECH), where they are developing artwork for their upcoming presentation at the 2023 CAFKA biennial. There are also several activities we would like to invite you to join.

Open to all! In honour of Tract Collective being on campus, we are sponsoring a soup day at the Waterloo Indigenous Student Services (WISC). Held on campus at St. Paul's University College.
