Nancy-Lou Patterson Works on Paper – $500 Scholarship Award 

The Nancy-Lou Patterson Award for Works on Paper is an amazing opportunity for students to display their best in drawing, print or other media involving paper. Open to students in all years – everyone in Fine Arts is encouraged to submit an entry. 

Nancy-Lou Patterson is widely known as a writer, artist, scholar, teacher, novelist and poet whose educational and artistic career spans five decades. In 1966, she taught the first courses in studio art and art history at the University of Waterloo and went on to found the Department of Fine Arts in 1968. This prize is awarded every year in her honour.

How to enter:

Opens: Monday March 9th at 9am 
Closes: Tuesday March 17th at noon 

  • eligible works MUST be on paper, either 2D or 3D, in any medium
  • select an appropriate sized space on the designated hallways in East Campus Hall
  • fill out the entry form attached to your space
  • tape entry form next to your work

The winner will be announced at the Awards Day Ceremony on Thursday, March 19th, 2020. Please leave you work up until Sunday March 22nd so it can be viewed during the March Break Open House.
