The Fine Arts Department offers Three-year General and Four-year Honours undergraduate degrees in Studio Art and in Visual Culture. The studio program includes courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, media arts and imaging.
Our program offers a solid foundation in the visual arts to enable students to develop in the individual direction of their choice. Our graduates have gone on to successful careers as artists, designers, illustrators, animators, art historians, educators, writers, art librarians and art administrators in galleries and museums.
There is no portfolio required for admission to the first year courses. Instead, at the conclusion of Studio Fundamentals (FINE 100), students declare their intention to major or minor in Fine Arts and in the case of studio, present a portfolio of work from FINE 100.
