Congratulations to Amanda Rhodenizer (MFA 2014) for recieving a Greenshields grant.

Fine Arts Alumna Amanda Rhodenizer has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation.  The Foundation provides grants to emerging artists, working in a representational style, from all around the world.

Tara Cooper’s book Printopolis launches on November 25

Fine Arts faculty member Tara Cooper along with Jenn Law have co-edited Printopolis, a book focused on the current state of printmaking practice and collecting in Toronto and beyond.  It was inspired by the 2010 print symposium hosted by Open Studio and includes essays reflecting on Open Studio’s more than 45 year history, as well as artist pages specifically designed for the publication.

Fine arts alumna Natalie Hunter (MFA 2013) was awarded the commission to create a public art piece for the Bridgeport Community Centre.  This is part of the City of Kitchener’s public art program to install site-specific works of art at newly renovated and constructed facilities.

Karli Campitelli at a residency in Iceland

Fine Arts alumna Karli Campitelli (BA 2016) has been awarded a residency in Skagaströnd, Iceland.

NES Artist Residency is a multidisciplinary residency and accepts applicants from all creative fields and career stages.  It is one of the largest residencies in Iceland and currently hosts between 90-120 artists each year.
