Documentary videos feature Fine Arts Faculty and Alumni

La Cartonera exhibit launch at Dana Porter Library lobby

Taking cues from the cartonera movement, a grass roots publishing endeavour originating in Argentina in the early 2000s, the Fine Art students Professor Tara Cooper’s class "Takin’ It To The Streets" have created their own artist books, which will be on display in the Dana Porter Library lobby from February 2 to 13.  

Come on February 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the exhibit and try your hand at creating your own artist's book!

Chris Williams received an Oscar nomination for ‘The Sea Beast’

The latest animated film by Fine Arts Alum Chris Williams (BA '90) has been nominated for an Academy award in the Best Animated Feature category. The Netflix feature “The Sea Beast” is the story of legendary sea monster hunter whose life is turned upside down when a young girl stows away on his ship and befriends the most dangerous beast of them all.
