This is the second workshop in the Games Institute Professional Development Series, focusing on dissertation writing and preparing candidates for the transition into the role of professional researchers. Workshops in this series are designed for advanced undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-doctoral scholars.
*Please note that this workshop is open to GI student members only.Join us on October 16th from 12:30PM to 1:30PM for a one-hour session consisting of a presentation on dissertation writing and more on the academic job hunt.
With an inter- and multi-disciplinary focus designed specifically for the Games Institute student body, each workshop is designed to help students transition into the role of professional researchers through practical discussions about how to navigate professional spheres and write into professional genres.
Workshops will be facilitated by Dr. Ashley Rose Kelly (Department of English Language and Literature), who studies rhetoric and professional communication, and has trained undergraduate and graduate students in STEM and social sciences writing at North Carolina State University and Purdue University.
