The Games Institute (GI) presents the next session of a series of "Brown Bag Seminars" on March 26, 2015.
Presenter: Elise Vist
Topic: "How do you solve a problem like Immersion?"
Date: March 26, 2015
Time: 12 - 1:00pm*
Where: GI (EC1)
Using her experience of the Supernatural fandom (both online and in person at conventions) to talk about the emotional nature of immersion and how that affects how she thinks about immersion in games, Elise will explore the topic of immersion outside of what developers design into the game itself.
I believe that game studies is too focused on how games make us think that we're "really there" and not enough on how we feel.
Join us on March 26th at the GI to hear more!
*Please note that food and drinks will not be provided; this event is for GI Members ONLY.
