This is the first workshop in the Games Institute Professional Development Series, focusing on preparing candidates for the transition into the role of professional researchers. Workshops in this series are designed for advanced undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-doctoral scholars.
*Please note that this event is open to GI student members only.
On September 28th from 12:30PM to 1:30PM, join us for a one-hour session consisting of a presentation on basic materials, faculty members sharing their experiences, and a period of questions and answers!
With an inter- and multi-disciplinary focus designed specifically for the Games Institute student body, each workshop is designed to help students transition into the role of professional researchers through practical discussions about how to navigate professional spheres and write into professional genres.
Workshops will be facilitated by Dr. Ashley Rose Kelly (Department of English Language and Literature), who studies rhetoric and professional communication, and has trained undergraduate and graduate students in STEM as well as the social sciences at North Carolina State University and Purdue University.
The next workshop in the series will be Dissertation Writing and the Academic Job Hunt. It will be hosted on October 16th from 12:30PM to 1:30PM.
Please note that this event is only open to GI students. Join us on September 28th!
