Systems Design Engineering

Marco standing in front of the CN towerMarco is a PhD student in Systems Design Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Mark Hancock and Dr. Oliver Schneider. He works on the design and development of low fidelity haptic devices for teaching and training purposes. Before coming to Waterloo, He completed a B.S. in Mechatronics Engineering (2015) at ITESM in Mexico, and a postgraduate diploma in Automation & Robotics (2017) in Centennial College in Toronto. In the short term, he is working towards pursuing a PhD whose main contribution is a set of technologies suitable for engineering education purposes. In the long term, he intends to become a professor at a Canadian University. He is passionate about American Football, FIFA, Halo, and Monster Hunter.
