Alison has completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies and Gerontology and a Masters in Public Health, both from the University of Waterloo. Prior to joining the GHS group, Alison managed and conducted research and evaluation projects involving capacity development, the generation of practice-based evidence, and knowledge translation and exchange to improve population health. Alison is now working with GHS team members and multiple national partners to transform primary health care for frail older Canadians using efficient screening tools, care coordination, patient and caregiver engagement, and enabling technologies.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Indigenous Initiatives Office.
