Sospeter Gatobu is trained and has practical experience in project and program evaluation, and qualitative and quantitative research. He has been involved in knowledge translation/implementation research in diverse areas, and has worked with local and international organizations to translate knowledge into practice to improve health, food security, nutrition and community development especially for the rural poor in Africa. In addition, he has extensive training and experience in program and project management and he has managed programs and projects both in Canada and Africa (East, Central and the Horn of Africa Regions). He is also a trained teacher.
Sospeter has a PhD in Health Studies and Gerontology from the University of Waterloo, Master of Arts (Communication) degree from Daystar University, and a Bachelor of Education degree from Kenyatta University, in Kenya.
He is proficient in English, Kiswahili, and four other Kenyan languages. He enjoys photography, reading and writing.
