Veronica Sacco

Research Project Associate

Veronica Sacco

Veronica Sacco completed her MSc in the School of Public Health and Health Systems, under the supervision of Professor Stolee. Her prior undergraduate studies at McMaster University in the Arts & Science program fostered her passion for exploring aging through an interdisciplinary lens.

Her research interests include understanding the lived experiences of older adults with chronic illnesses, as well as aging and inequality. For her Master's thesis project, she conducted a qualitative study that explored the perspectives of health care providers supporting older homeless adults in outreach settings. During her graduate studies, she also served as a student connection representative for the Canadian Association on Gerontology and a committee member for the University of Waterloo's Symposium on Aging Research. Veronica is looking forward to continuing her role with the Geriatric Health Systems Research Group as a Research Project Associate.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking her Siberian Husky named Nikita and trying new recipes.
