In her second doctoral colloquium Daniela Roth will talk about two chapters of her dissertation project (“Subversion or (Re)affirmation: The portrayal of immigrants and migration experience in the contemporary transnational Adoleszenzroman”) which examine Alina Bronsky’s Scherbenpark and Steven Uhly’s Adams Fuge. Ms. Roth will also touch on a third chapter dealing with Martin Horvath’s Mohr im Hemd and summarize her overarching arguments and the results that her interpretation of these novels has yielded thus far.
The PhD colloquium affords German Studies doctoral candidates an opportunity to provide updates on their dissertation research.
