Joint MA in Intercultural German Studies
Alexandra Johne began the Joint Degree Master’s Program in Intercultural German Studies at the University of Mannheim and the University of Waterloo in the fall of 2011. She studied in the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies in Waterloo from 2011-2012 and currently finishes her Master’s program in Mannheim. Her MA thesis will be about Thomas Brussig’s Wendeliteratur and the construction of identity within it. While she was at the University of Waterloo she worked in the library and had a Teaching Assistantship in the Fine Arts Department.
