GHPI researchers explore the role of social networks in facilitating health service access in the Philippines
GHPI members Lincoln Lau, Jennifer Liu and Warren Dodd, along with Laura Jane Brubacher and Kathy Luu have had their research with low-income women in the Philippines. The research looks at women’s decisions regarding health care access, and the myriad ways social networks are utilized for social and financial support to facilitate healthcare access and use throughout women's lifespans.
Increase in COVID-19 knowledge, attitudes and practices identified by GHPI researchers in new study
A recently published study authored by Lincoln Lau and GHPI Director, Warren Dodd shows an increase in the knowledge, attitudes and practices around COVID-19 among households experiencing extreme poverty in the Philippines. The repeated cross-sectional study was published in the Journal of Global Health in May 2022.
New research from GHPI members investigates factors that influence intention to use COVID-19 vaccine
GHPI members Bara Abdallah AlShurman and Zahid Butt have had their research published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. The novel scoping review looks at the demographic, social, and contextual factors that may influence intention to get the COVID-19 vaccination.
