Dmitrii Marin

Dmitrii is a PhD candidate at the School of Computer Science. His research is focused on optimization methods in computer vision.

Dmitrii started his doctoral program at the University of Western Ontario. He represented teaching assistants in bargaining negotiations for the renewal of the collective agreement in 2017/2018. He also served on various committees within the student government and TA union at UWO. Currently, he serves in the computer science GSA and represents math faculty graduate students on the UW Graduate & Research Council.

As a GSA director, Dmitrii plans to focus on advocacy and services provided by the university to the graduate students.
