Amanda Joynt


Amanda JoyntAmanda is a doctoral candidate of Human Geography in the Faculty of Environment. Previously, Amanda chaired the student advisory council for the Masters of Development Practice (MDP), facilitating members across six continents and forty MDP programs to ensure student and alumni voices were engaged in the development of the graduate degree. Amanda has a wide range of management experiences, from running a small NGO in Malawi to managing a federal government office in the Canadian Arctic. She looks forward to applying her diverse management experience to ensuring that graduate students are receiving the most beneficial services in an efficient, equitable, and responsible manner.

The University of Waterloo is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations that includes ten kilometers on each side of the Grand River.
