Portrait of Evan AndrewsEvan Andrews is a doctoral candidate in the School of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Waterloo.  Evan would bring extensive leadership, planning, and committee experience to the GSA.  He leads two research groups at the University of Waterloo that brings together networks of students and faculty that conduct research related to governance and environmental change in the contexts of Canada’s coastal communities.  Evan has sat on several planning and research development committees.  For example, he is embarking on his third year on the planning committee for the Annual Institute of the Policy Sciences.  In addition to his studies, Evan is involved significantly with the sport of water polo, as an international referee, technical advisor, and board of director for two different water polo organizations.  Throughout these activities, Evan is focused on building a community of practice that promotes equity and justice through policy and our everyday interactions.
