Sondra Eger

Sondra Eger portraitI am currently enrolled in a Social and Ecological Sustainability PhD program within the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability (SERS). My PhD involves working to develop principles and strategies for governing human exploitation of natural resources, specifically targeted to enhance the management and conservation of coastal and marine systems in Canada.

I am currently finishing my term as the GSA external officer to the Canadian Alliance of Students Associations (CASA). I have also previously served as the Chair of Students of the Water Institute Graduate Section (SWIGS) from 2014-2015. Additionally, I am also involved in a variety of national and international organizations relating to student and young professional development and participation in projects with professionals.

I look forward to an opportunity to continue working with the GSA as a director as I enjoy facilitating connections and collaborations between individuals and organizations and looking out for graduate student needs and interests.
