UWaterloo's Second Annual Policy Datafest

The objective of datafest is to give graduate students an opportunity to demonstrate their skills by analyzing important policy questions with appropriate data analytics and offering relevant recommendations. Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) can now be entered in Quest

Effective 2019, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requirements mandate that a student's Social Insurance Number (SIN) be included on the following tax documents: T2202 (Tuition and Enrolment Certificate) and T4A (Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income) issued for scholarships, bursaries and awards.  The SIN is also required

Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs will be closed on Wednesday, December 18 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. for a staff holiday celebration.

Regular business hours (8:30 a.m.  to 4:30 p.m.) will resume on Thursday, December 19.

Graduate students share experiences traveling abroad

Last month, the University of Waterloo joined over 100 countries in celebrating International Education Week (IEW), and highlighted the significant impact of international education on our campus community and Canadian social, economic and cultural well-being. To support the international education of graduate students, Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs hosted a "Funding your Graduate International Experience" panel event.

National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

On December 6, 1989, 14 young women were murdered in a gender-bases act of violence at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal.

To remember and honour those tragically lost 30 years ago, the  University of Waterloo will be hosting a special ceremony for the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against women. 

The University of Waterloo is participating alongside thirteen other universities in a nationwide memorial on the 30th anniversary. Each university will shine a beam of light into the sky to honour the 14 young women.
