Jean Andrey, professor and Dean of the Faculty of Environment was the recipient of the award in 2014. Dr. Andrey was praised by students for her dedication to bringing out the best in every student, by both nurturing and challenging them intellectually to set a high standard for scholarship. A list of previous graduate supervision winners can be found online.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
