UWaterloo 3MT winners are announced

Fifteen of Waterloo's top Three Minute Thesis (3MT) finalists from across six faculties gathered to compete in the university-wide final event on Wednesday, March 20 in the Theatre of the Arts, ML. With topics ranging from the right to die for mature minors to the value of ornament in Architecture, the esteemed 3MT judges were challenged in selecting just two winners.

Fostering connections: UW International Spouses group

Handmade with love: Waterloo staff provides baby items with graduate parental leave bursaries


The parental leave and daycare bursary programs at the University of Waterloo have a long standing history of providing a supportive and accessible environment to graduate students.  In 2017, the awards received national recognition when the University of Waterloo won the 2017 Canadian Association of Graduate studies (CAGS) Award of Excellence and Innovation for Enhancing the Graduate Student Experience (read full story on CAGS website).

3MT faculty-based heats to begin in under three weeks!

In less than three weeks, the University of Waterloo's 7th annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) season will commence with the first faculty-based heat, Electrical and Computer Engineering!

Earlier this week, Waterloo graduate students received a personalized e-mail asking them to participate in the 2019 Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey (CGPSS), to share their thoughts about their university experience. The purpose of this national survey is to improve teaching, learning, graduate student services, programs, student support and overall campus life for current and future graduate students.

A new look for Quest navigation

During the February 2019 Reading Week, Quest will be updated to provide clients with a new navigation experience.

The tile-based navigation structure (like the mobile view now) offers students, faculty, and staff a modernized, user-friendly experience. And while the initial style of the page and how you navigate the tiles will be different, the actual site content and how you use those pages will remain the same.
