One entrance scholarship valued at up to $5,000 will be awarded annually in the Fall term to a graduate student entering the Master's of Anthropology program at the University of Waterloo. The award recipient will be selected based on academic excellence (minimum 80% overall average of undergraduate program) and application for admission to the program. This fund is made possible by a very generous donation from the late Ian Williams in honour and memory of his partner in life Iris Yuzdepski. Iris achieved her BA with a major in Anthropology from the University of Waterloo in May, 1971.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
