Reading Week is a great opportunity for students to take their learning outside of the classroom and spend some time serving the community beyond campus. Every year, Grebel students organize at least two Reading Week trips. Typically, one trip is local and focuses more on learning about relevant social issues, community response, and topics related to social change. The second tradition is traveling to the United States to serve with Mennonite Disaster Service to help communities rebuild after natural disasters.
New leadership and new ideas are always welcome! If you have an idea for a trip for Reading Week 2016, come talk to Rebekah DeJong, Student Life and Recruitment Coordinator, or watch for an invitation to a Bridges dreaming session.
