Fifteen Indonesian scholars, in Canada for training with the Centre for Community Based Research, will be at Grebel on December 11th to tour the MSCU Centre for Peace Advancement. Delegates with the CCBR are interested in innovative ways in which universities engage with their communities to build capacity through community-based research. While visiting, delegates will get a chance to learn about the CPA while on a tour, as well as through sharing from Susan Shultz Huxman, Paul Heidebrecht and two CPA participants.
Dates: September 8, 2014 to January 18, 2015
An exhibition of 22 Paintings by Winnipeg artist Ray Dirks.
A project of the Mennonite Heritage Centre Gallery, Winnipeg.
In art and words, the exhibit tells the dramatic stories of women and their families who fled the Soviet Union in the decade after the Russian Revolution and during World War II. Despite the despair, horror and loss each of these families faced, at its core, this exhibit is about love, courage, humility, determination and faith.
