A central aim of the Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference and Festival was to learn about
Anabaptist-Mennonite peacebuilding from experience, research, and a wide variety of peace practices. Five questions served to ground an overarching learning agenda for the conference:
These questions were explored in three ways: morning Stories of Peace plenaries, afternoon Conversation Cafés and reflections from a six-person Listening Team.
An evening banquet, titled “Giving up Privilege, Pursuing Decolonization,” provided another venue to hear personal stories of partnering together for transformation, featuring a thoughtful conversation between Steve Heinrichs and Leah Gazan.
