A central aim of the Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference and Festival was to learn about
Anabaptist-Mennonite peacebuilding from experience, research, and a wide variety of peace practices. Five questions served to ground an overarching learning agenda for the conference:
- Who are we as Anabaptist-Mennonite peacebuilders?
- What do (or did) we do?
- With what issues do we wrestle?
- What has changed over time?
- Where are we going?
An evening banquet, titled “Giving up Privilege, Pursuing Decolonization,” provided another venue to hear personal stories of partnering together for transformation, featuring a thoughtful conversation between Steve Heinrichs and Leah Gazan.
