Jinhe Zhang is a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He obtained his MS and BS degrees in Dalian University of Technology. Jinhe joined our research group in Spring 2022. He is currently focusing on the synthesis and characterization of nano-structured oxide materials and their applications in thermochemical energy storage processes. His goal is to provide new ideas to exploit several new energy resources to optimize large-scale, long-time and low-cost energy storage technologies.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
