Master of Engineering (MEng) - Electric Power Engineering
 

The Master of Engineering (MEng) program with a specialization in Electric Power Engineering, is an industry-oriented cost recovery graduate program. The focus of this program is on advanced level training, skill development and education of power engineering professionals employed at various power companies and utilities worldwide and particularly in Canada, to help develop a specialized manpower base in the country.

This is an on-line program wherein all courses are offered in a web-based environment using the latest state-of-the-art communication and multimedia technology. This program is the first of its kind in Canada. The on-line course delivery mechanism provides an opportunity to working power engineering professionals around the world to participate and upgrade their knowledge, and is based on the "learn while you work" philosophy.

Admission Requirements

Admission requirements are the same as those for the Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree. See the Graduate Studies Office Application and admission page for additional information.

Degree Requirements

The program offers a wide spectrum of courses that are relevant to the power industry dealing with the latest state-of-the art developments in the field. Completion of nine graduate level (0.50 unit weight) courses are required for the MEng degree in Electric Power Engineering. A minimum grade of 65% in each of the nine courses and a minimum cumulative average of 70% are required to remain in the MEng program.
