DESCRIPTION:The Waterloo Climate Institute and Faculty of Environment invit
 e you\nto a unique and empowering event that blends the themes of climate\
 nanxiety\, the UWaterloo Healing Forest\, Truth and Reconciliation\,\nIndi
 genous healing and health\, and Land Back. This gathering offers an\noppor
 tunity to explore the deep connections between land\, climate\, and\nheali
 ng\, while reflecting on our shared responsibilities. \n\nThe event will 
 feature a fireside chat between Dr. Kelsey Leonard and\nElder Myeengun Hen
 ry\, who will share wisdom on the importance of land\nin Indigenous healin
 g and cultural resilience. The conversation will\nalso focus on how Indige
 nous perspectives can offer guidance in\nnavigating the growing concerns a
 round climate anxiety\, particularly\namong youth. \n\nFollowing the fire
 side chat\, attendees will be invited to walk through\nthe Healing Forest
  exhibit\n[https://uwaterloo.ca/healing-forest/healing-forest-exhibit]\, a
  space\ndedicated to reflection on the impacts of colonialism and the\nres
 ilience of Indigenous people. This immersive experience will\nprovide an o
 pportunity to connect and engage deeply with the themes of\nthe day.  \n

 nous knowledge\, the strength of community\, and the power of the\nland.
