Faculty of Mathematics
Is your primary interest in mathematics or computer science? Would you like to apply your skills in the health sector? Or develop your knowledge of statistical methods to analyze health information?
- Bachelor of Mathematics (BMath) or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS), with Bioinformatics option combines your interests in computer science and biology with the completion of this four- or five-year honours degree. Learn how computers can be used to solve biological problems like the DNA mapping of the Human Genome Project.
- Bachelor of Mathematics (BMath) or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS), with Health Informatics option provides broad coverage of health studies, research methods in health and business information systems. A complementary seven-course health informatics option is available for honours students in the Faculty of Mathematics.
- Statistics for Health (BMath) is the only program of its kind in Canada, will equip students with skills, knowledge, and experience, and it will prepare graduates for successful careers in the quantitative sector of the health care industry.
