It’s time to flex your trivia muscles in our latest edition of the Faculty of Health's virtual trivia night! The questions will be a fun combination of faculty-specific and other historical facts, pop culture references, and include a special focus on mental health and well-being.
Climate change exacerbates public health risks in various ways, and thus holistic risk management approaches are needed. Student panelists will propose risk management approaches for mitigation of public health impacts through the development of frameworks and best management practices, exploring transmission pathways of disease, and implementation of green technologies.
Students panelists present an overview on the direct and indirect impacts of climate change on aquatic ecosystem structure and health, cyanobacteria bloom dynamics and the implementation of modern molecular techniques in understanding the risk of toxin production in cyanobacteria populations and assessment of water quality. Part of the Ideas to shape the future: Student Leaders in Climate Action and Research webinar series, presented by the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change (IC3) and Faculty of Health.
