Olive Bryanton
Olive is an 80 year old PhD student at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI). Her research uses photovoice to understand the challenges faced by women over the age of 85 living alone in rural PEI.

Before starting her PhD, her years of work as a seniors advocate earned her an honorary doctor of laws degree from UPEI.

Event highlights

In addition to the keynote, other event highlights include discussion on engaging older adults in innovation and research, aging research priority setting exercise, posters and lunch.

The event is open to all who are interested in aging research including faculty, staff and students from the University of Waterloo, seniors, community members, policymakers, and other relevant stakeholders.
