An interactive open house to showcase the work of local researchers at the University of Waterloo that are currently or previously funded by the HSF and bring an awareness to how this research is used to create survivors.
Quiet Research, Loud Results! See How We’re Creating Survivors will be an interactive open house showcasing the work of local researchers at the University of Waterloo that are currently funded or previously funded by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, bringing awareness to how this research is used to create survivors.
Held on September 19th, 2015 from 10:00am – 3:00pm at the new University of Waterloo Kinesiology Research and Innovation Centre in the R+T Park, we are excited for community members to attend.
The event will be set up as a circuit, with each station exemplifying an area of research, a survivor story, and key takeaways the public can use to live a more heart healthy life. Key researchers involved in the planning and execution of this event are Dr. James Danckert, Caryl Russell, and Dr. Richard Hughson, covering Spatial Memory/Prism Adaptation, Brain Blood Flow Demos, Interactive Nutrition Screening, and more.
