Heather McCully holds a Master in Public Health (UWaterloo '12) and an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology (McMaster '04). Heather has been employed for the past 15 years with The City of Hamilton Public Health Services in a variety of health promotion roles. She was redeployed to the COVID Outbreak Team back in April 2020 as part of the COVID response.
A noted leader in health promotion, tobacco control and youth engagement Heather’s expertise earned her the 2019 Health Promotion Canada Mid-Career Award, the McMaster Arch Award ('13) and PHE Canada's Dr. Andy Anderson Young Professional Award ('13) and the 2009 City of Hamilton Week of the Child and Youth Award.
In addition, Heather has been a part-time professor for the past 5 years with Mohawk College's Health, Wellness and Fitness Program.
