Mary is a Recreation Therapist with the outpatient Adult Mental Health Service at Grand River Hospital (GRH) in Kitchener, Ontario. She facilitates psycho-educational and psycho-therapeutic groups at GRH’s Mt. Hope Day Hospital program. Mary also meets individually with clients to provide support and guidance in helping them develop meaningful leisure lifestyles. Prior to her current role, Mary has worked in several in-patient mental health settings at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and done community support work with the Assertive Community Treatment Team with Waterloo Regional Homes for Mental Health Inc. in Kitchener.

Mary leads a very busy leisure lifestyle of her own. She is an avid cyclist and rides with the Waterloo Cycling Club. She has also races for a Toronto-based women's cycling racing team in the Ontario Cup road racing series. Between riding and racing, she loves working out at the gym, hiking, cross-country skiing, spending time with friends and spending time playing with her adventurous toddler.
