Studying women in transition

Bronwen Valtchanov
Bronwen’s research focuses on the social determinants of health for women in marginalized or changing communities, including mothers, immigrant adolescent girls, and federally sentenced women. Within these and other communities, she is particularly interested in women’s negotiations of identity transitions and the implications for social connections. Through diverse feminist approaches, her research aims to elucidate the complexities of women’s lived experiences and engage possibilities for social justice.
