The Healthy Workplace Committee is committed to creating a healthy, safe, and supportive work environment for our campus, especially in this new world of working remotely. Through combined partnerships across our University, we have established a network of connections to provide employees with resources to help maintain that healthy workplace environment while some of us work in the “new normal” of the home office.
We know it can be challenging to maintain your health and wellness when things seem to be turned upside down and a little uncertain. We want to help you be healthy in all aspects of your life, and to do that we are providing you with a variety of resources to set you on your way.
Are You in Balance? More than ever before, Canadians play many different roles in their lives. They are workers, parents, spouses, friends, caregivers of elderly relatives and volunteers in their communities. The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
