Sponsored by the Equity Office, the Making Spaces program is a framework for creating affirming spaces on campus and fostering interpersonal relationships through education and training on aspects of social identity. UW community members partake in training and a registration process to become Space Makers, ambassadors of equity.

Students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend. We especially encourage the participation of people who provide services to students, staff and faculty at the University of Waterloo. More information about the Making Spaces for LGBTQ+ Persons program is available.

Participants must have taken one of the three LGBTQ+ Making Spaces workshops to attend the Train the Trainer session.
