Can Waterloo's women-only residence help close the engineering gap?

One new approach that’s grabbing attention online is new Women in Engineering Living-Learning Community (LLC) launching this fall at Waterloo, where about 500 out of 1,700 first-year students are expected to be female. About 50 of the women starting Waterloo engineering will live together in this optional women-only residence.

Cambridge native is honoured for helping women break glass ceilings

A Cambridge-raised sociology professor has been honoured for her work to help advance women in the workplace.

Helene Cummins was awarded the Status of Women Award of Distinction by the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations, which recognizes women who have improved the lives and working conditions of women in academics.
