Amazon has recently announced that they will be funding the University of Waterloo with a year-long program focused on artificial intelligence (AI). With only four North American universities selected, Waterloo researchers and students will be given the opportunity to work with speech recognition technology alongside AI scientists.
The University has been recognized as a source of intelligence and innovation, so this newly formed industry partnership will allow for Waterloo to have a much heavier influence on the field of AI, taking it beyond what one can imagine.
