ASHRAE visits Waterloo campus

Thursday, March 30, 2017

On Tuesday, March 21, the University of Waterloo had the pleasure of hosting the ASHRAE Hamilton chapter on campus. ASHRAE was formed as the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability within the industry.

The visit kicked off with a tour of campus buildings Engineering 6 and Central Plant, followed by dinner at Federation Hall. ASHRAE’s presence on campus provided a wonderful opportunity for Waterloo students to connect with industry professionals and see the mechanics behind two of Waterloo’s unique buildings.

Waterloo is grateful to have a strong relationship with ASHRAE and looks forward to future events together.
