Employment Opportunity for a Sessional Instructor

The History Department at the University of Waterloo is searching for a sessional instructor to teach HIST 203: Methods of Applied History, for the Fall 2019 term. It is a public history course that exposes students to several different forms of applied and/or public history, which may include historic mapping, digitization, genealogy, public policy research, corporate history, legal research, tourism, the commemoration industry, historical fiction and creative non-fiction, heritage issues, and the making of historical documentaries. The specific mix of topics addressed in any particular year will vary, depending on the instructor.

Based in a liberal arts faculty with high national and international standards, the History program currently serves approximately 90 majors, 30 minors. The course is strongly recommended for our co-op students.
