Special accommodations

One of the best ways to participate in campus life is to live in residence

Waterloo Residences believes in creating an inclusive environment for all students. The Housing Disability Verification Form enables us to assign rooms that accommodate the needs of students with disabilities.

Accessible Housing

If you have a documented disability that requires special housing accommodations, please complete the following steps:

  1. Apply to live in Waterloo Residences
  2. If you have a documented disability, print and complete the Housing Disability Verification Form (PDF).
  3. Obtain an appointment with your registered health care professional to complete the Housing Disability Verification Form.
  4. Upload your completed Housing Disability Verification Form to the Accessible Housing website.

Please note: it can take time to obtain an appointment and/or documentation from registered health care professionals. We encourage you to begin this process early.

For incoming first-years, upload your completed Housing Disability Verification form by June 1, 2017.

Dietary issues

If you have a dietary restriction, please feel free to contact Food Services to learn what options are available.

Food Services chefs can accommodate most allergies and dietary restrictions.  Once you move in, simply set up a meeting with your residence Chef and they will help you understand the available options.

Height requirements

Are you taller than 6'4" / 193 cm?

Our residence beds can accommodate students up to, and including, 6'4' or 193 cm. Only if you're taller than this, please check the appropriate box on your application.

Academic accommodations

If you also require academic accommodations, please visit the AccessAbility Services website for instructions on how to apply and upload documentation.
