What to bring: Suite-style apartment

Living suite-style is a great opportunity to try independent living with direct access
to on-campus support. We've listed a few things to pack!

For your room

School ​supplies

  • back pack
  • binders, paper, and notebooks
  • pens and pencils
  • stapler, scissors, ruler, pencil sharpener, three hole punch
  • computer paper
  • thumbtacks, pushpins, paper clips
  • desk organizer(s) and/or small storage containers


  • clothes!
  • shoes suitable for walking
  • slippers
  • bathrobe
  • hangers
  • laundry bag / detergent / softener

Bath and grooming

  • shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrush / toothpaste, razor, hairbrush/comb, and any other toiletries you use regularly
  • towels and wash cloth
  • hair dryer
  • tissue
  • cold medicine, pain reliever, prescribed medication, band-aids, sunscreen

Bedding and decoration

  • twin (single) size sheets and blanket, pillow(s)
  • twin (single) size mattress cover, all bedding available for purchase through Residence Linens

  • photos of friends and family
  • posters and room decorations
  • double-sided sticky mounts for hanging up pictures
  • whiteboard with dry-erase markers to hang on your door

It's a good idea to talk to your suitemates first and decide who can bring what. You don't want to
end up with 2 televisions and 4 microwaves!
